Grandi: Saudi Attacks on Civilians in Sa’ada Cannot Be Justified

Saudi-Led attacks on civilians in the southern province of Sa’ada cannot be justified, the United Nations Resident Representative in Yemen said on Thursday.

The price of war on Yemen has become unbearable, every indiscriminate attack on civilians is a violation of international humanitarian law, Grandi said in a statement.

She explained that the initial reports indicate that at least ten civilians were killed and 27 wounded, including four children and a woman, during an attack on Nov. 27 on the slave market in Munabeh district in Sa’ada province.

Grandi pointing out that this attack comes only one week after a similar incident that killed ten civilians in the same place, indicating that many of the dead and wounded are Ethiopians.
