A meeting discusses the activities of WHO Organization in Sa’ada
Sa’ada Governor, Mohammed Jaber Awad, discussed, on Sunday, with the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Yemen, Dr. Lutf Musani, the activities implemented by the organization in Sa’ada province.
The meeting, which was attended by the director of the province’s health office, Dr. Yahya Shaim, the organization’s charge d’affaires, Dr. Mohammed al-Najjar, and the president of the Republican Hospital Authority, Dr. Saleh al-Qurban, addressed the needs of the health sector and the difficulties facing it in light of the continued aggression and siege.
During the meeting, the governor stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the local authority and the organization to advance the health sector in the province.
And he touched on the direct exposure of the health sector by aviation aggression, which increased the suffering of citizens.
He called the organization to provide magnetic resonance devices to the Republican Hospital Authority in Sa’ada and support the central laboratory and rural hospitals.
As well as appraising the efforts made by the World Health Organization with the local authority in support of the health sector, stressing the willingness of the local authority to facilitate everything that would serve the people of the province.
For his part, the representative of the World Health Organization in Yemen expressed the organization’s readiness to continue to support the health sector and provide incentives for health workers in rural hospitals of Yemen.
