Lebanon’s House Speaker Holds 30-Minute Meeting with Hale: ‘Israel’ Solely Responsible for Violation of 1701

House Speaker Nabih Berri said during his meeting with Assistant Secretary of State David Hale that “Israel is solely responsible for the breaches of Resolution 1701, not the last of which being the drone flights over the southern suburbs.”

It’s worth noting that Berri discussed with his guest during the 30-minute meeting the latest political developments in Lebanon, including mainly the cabinet formation.

For his part, Hale highlighted the solid ties between Lebanon and the United States, reiterating that Washington does not interfere in the nomination of the Lebanese premier.
