4 private hospitals closed in Sana’a for refusing to receive sick cases

The Public Health and Population Office in the capital Sanaa on Monday closed four private hospitals for the lack of commitment to receiving sick cases.

The health office’s director Dr. Mutahar al-Marwani explained that the closure of the four private hospitals comes due to their failure to comply with the terms of infection control and the allocation of isolation departments, and their refusal to receive suspected sick cases.

Dr. al-Marwani affirmed that the hospitals that were closed had violated the directives of the Ministry of Health and the Higher Committee for Epidemics Control.

He indicated that the field visits to the private hospitals would continue in the coming days to ensure their compliance with the directives.
