Minister of Health announces medical mobilization to Confront COVID-19, pledges to protect cadres
The Minister of Health and Population Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil announced the comprehensive medical mobilization in the health sector and the mobilization of health personnel in various specialties to confront the corona epidemic.
During a meeting held on Tuesday to discuss medical conditions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting reviewed procedures related to protecting medical and health personnel in public and private hospitals.
“We are facing a fierce confrontation with an invisible virus, therefore, we need every doctor, specialist, technician, and nurse to stand by the sick,” Dr. Al-Mutawakkil said.
He pointed out that the Ministry will work to provide full protection for the cadres with all available capabilities, calling on businessmen, philanthropists and organizations to carry out their duty to provide personal protection means for medical cadres.
The Minister of Health also directed public and private hospitals to prevent anyone from entering them except after wearing masks and gloves, calling on citizens not to go to hospitals except for emergency cases.
