WHO: Unprecedented daily number of corona cases around world

The World Health Organization reported, on Friday evening, that it recorded 628 thousand new cases of Coronavirus in the world, which represents a record high for this indicator.

The organization stated, in its daily statistics on the path of the Corona pandemic, that the number of confirmed cases of the new Corona virus in the world increased during the past 24 hours to 628136 cases, reaching 52487476.

This outcome is a record high number of Corona infections on a daily basis in the world, and the previous record for this indicator, which was recorded on November 7, was 613,977 cases.

More than 46% of the new cases came in the European region, in which 291,830 cases were recorded, while 234437 were detected in North and South America, while Southeast Asia occupies the third place in this list with 53,485.

The World Health Organization also announced that it had monitored 9,623 new deaths due to the Coronavirus, bringing the general toll of the pandemic victims in the world to 1290,653.
