Prime Minister: Gov’t seek to reduce the housing problem

The Prime Minister stressed that the government seeks to strengthen the public works and roads sector and their pivotal role in reducing the housing problem.

Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor said that such a step comes in the development of a systematic national vision of housing that includes the reconstruction phase.

During his meeting on Tuesday with Deputy Minister of Public Works and Roads Eng. Mohammed al-Thari, Bin Habtoor referred to the systematic plan initiated by the Works Ministry to organize the professional aspect associated with this vital sector and to strengthen its role in the post-aggression period and the beginning of the reconstruction phase.

On his part, al-Thari discussed the Ministry’s efforts in a number of organizational aspects in the works and roads sector.

He said that the ministry is about to present a housing law and another for engineering professions to the Cabinet for discussion.
