Al-Hodeidah Endowments inaugurates restoration work on historic Al-Khair Mosque in Zabid
The Endowments and Guidance Office in Al Hodeidah province launched Tuesday the maintenance and restoration work of the historic Al-Khair Mosque in Al-Houta village in Zabid district, according to the architectural style as one of the Islamic monuments in the district.
The director general of the office in Hodeidah, Faisal Ahmed Al-Hattfi, explained the most prominent stages of the implementation of the restoration work of the ancient mosque, which was recently found after it was covered with sand for years, which includes the mosque’s lighthouse, the ceiling, the corridors, and the maintenance and repairs in its facilities.
Al-Hatfi praised the support of the local authority’s leadership and its follow-up to the implementation of endowment projects, and the restoration and maintenance of historical mosques in general.
