JMP Condemns UN Weak Position on the US-Saudi Imposed Blockade Against Yemen
The Joint Meeting Parties condemned the weak position of the United Nations and its special envoy regarding the siege on the Yemeni people that has continued for six years, pointing to, UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths’s deliberate omitting of humanitarian situation in the statements and briefings.
In a statement, the JMP explained that the UN is ignoring the unjust siege and unjust US-Saudi aggression against Yemen. It also criticized UN’s role that lacks neutrality and in some cases becomes an active member of the aggression in all crimes committed against the Yemeni people.
The JMP added that the continuation of the criminal siege and the international silence about it, gives the army and the Popular Committees a reason to respond in the depths of the countries responsible for this aggression and siege.
