Coastguards, UNDP discuss joint cooperation

Coastguards undersecretary Nashwan al-Baghdadi discussed on Tuesday via a video conference with Director of the Coastguards Support Project of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Mark Aiken aspects of joint cooperation. 

Al-Baghdadi and Aiken also reviewed areas of support in training,  capacity building, reconstruction, and the provision of equipment for the Yemeni coastguards.

They touched on the formation of a committee that includes the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA), the Ministry of Interior and the Coastguards to run and coordinate the stages of the coastguards support project in the Red Sea sector.
