The Minister of Health confirms that the UN ignoring a health disaster in Yemen as a result of the fuel run out
Ministry of Health warned of a new health catastrophe due to the maritime piracy of the US-Saudi aggression, and the continued detention of fuel tankers, according to al-masirah.
The ministry confirmed that the hospitals and health centers threatened with stoppage as a result of the depletion of oil derivatives, endangering the lives of patients.
It explained that amidst international silence, the US-Saudi aggression tightened the blockade on the Yemeni people by not allowing any oil, food or medicine ship to enter Hodeidah port, in a blatant violation of international and humanitarian conventions and laws.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, considered the continued detention of fuel tankers as a war crime among the series of crimes of the aggression against the Yemeni people, especially with regard to health sector services.
Regarding what hospitals are suffering as a result of the blockade, he stressed that the hospitals have not received any aid and are threatening to stop.
Dr. Al-Mutawakel explained that one thousand and 500 medical and health centers, 400 blood banks and laboratories are almost stopped, while the aggressive coalition claims to send donations.
He continued by saying: “The Yemeni people do not receive any of these donations and most of them are operating expenses and salaries to the organizations.”
