Officials discuss mechanisms for receiving IDPs from Marib, in light of aggression’s escalation

Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA), Mane’ Al-Asal, met the Deputy Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Martin Uther to discuss the mechanism for receiving IDPs from Marib in light of the escalation of the aggression.

The Head of the International Cooperation Department stressed the importance of rapid intervention to accommodate the displaced from Marib and provide them with the necessary services in order to alleviate their suffering and respond to their urgent and sustainable humanitarian needs.

While Martin Uther confirmed that the UNHCR will work to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, by providing assistance to them.
