President Al-Mashat discusses developments on the national scene with the heads of parliament and government
Chairman of Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat met on Saturday with Speaker of House of Representatives, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor, and two deputies of Speaker of Parliament Abdulsalam Hashoul Zabiyah and Abdul Rahman Al-Jama’i.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects related to the parliament’s agenda for the coming period to enhance its legislative and oversight role.
The meeting touched on developments on national arena, in light of continued aggression and siege, as well as the efforts and endeavors of the political leadership in Sana’a to bring peace to Yemen.
It confirmed Yemen’s refusal to create any military bases on Yemeni island of Mayon by countries of the coalition of aggression, considering this a violation of Yemeni sovereignty and international laws and charters.
President Al-Mashat stressed importance of redoubling efforts and strengthening coordination between the legislative and executive authorities to overcome challenges imposed by the aggression and siege.
