Yemeni Red Crescent distributes aid to the displaced and affected by floods in Sana’a

Today Thursday, the Yemeni Red Crescent Society branch in Sana’a governorate, in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs branch, inaugurated the distribution of emergency aid to the displaced and those affected by the torrential rains in Arhab district.

Food, shelter, and health assistance targeted 126 displaced families in Ahfad Bilal camp and the community affected by torrential rains in the district.

The Assistant Secretary-General for Relief and Disaster Affairs in the Society’s branch in the governorate, Ahmed Massad, explained that the aid came in response to the humanitarian appeal to provide relief to the displaced and affected families.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the Council Branch in the Directorate, Muhammad al-Suhaimi, stressed the keenness of the Humanitarian Affairs Council to enhance coordination efforts to provide basic services to the displaced, host communities, and the most vulnerable, especially in light of the current conditions the country is going through.
