Yemeni National Delegation to Participate in Iranian President Swearing-in Ceremony
An official Delegation from the Republic of Yemen arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran, headed by Mohammad Abdulsalam on Wednesday, representing Yemen’s President Mahdi Al-Mashat.
The Yemeni delegation went to Tehran to participate in the swearing-in ceremony for the elected Iranian president, Ibrahim Raisi, which will be held on Thursday.
During a meeting with the Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi on Wednesday, the Yemeni National delegation congratulated Raeisi on the occasion of his official inauguration as Iran’s new president, assuming his official duties as President of the Islamic Republic. The two sides reviewed the developments in the region.
Raeisi emphasizes that the fate of Yemen is to be decided only by its own people, and not any outside party.
He also hailed the resistance and steadfastness that the Yemenis have been staging in the face of the oppressors, adding that Yemen has become “the source of pride for the Islamic and Arab world.”
Iran had invited Yemen to attend the swearing-in ceremony. A total of 115 officials from 73 countries will attend the inauguration.
Sources from the Yemeni delegation confirmed that the meeting with the Iranian president was important and discussed broad prospects for reviewing the developments in the region.
The Yemeni ambassador to Iran, Ibrahim al-Dailami, has attended the meeting.
