Three missiles landed near Erbil airport, northern Iraq
A Kurdish security apparatus announced on Saturday evening that at least three missiles fell near Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq.
Reuters quoted the security apparatus of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, as saying that at least three missiles landed near the airport, which hosts US forces.
So far, there were no reports of damage or casualties as a result of the bombing, while witnesses said that they heard at least six explosions in the airport area.
The Iraqi Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service said that a booby-trapped drone targeted Erbil airport.
While eyewitnesses said that the sound of explosions was still being heard, the governor of Erbil announced that he was closely following the attack on the airport.
