The Specialized Criminal Court Begins the Trial of 206 Accused ig Forgery og Real Estate Documents
Today, Monday, the capital’s secretariat,began the trial of 206 accused of crimes of forging real estate documents and seeking to a foreign country to display documents, maps and treaties for demarcation of borders and correspondences between the Yemeni Mutawakkilite Kingdom and the Hijazi and Najdiyah Kingdoms in order to harm the political and diplomatic status of the Republic of Yemen.
In the session, which was chaired by the President of the Specialized Criminal Court, Judge Mujahid Al-Amdi, and in the presence of the Public Prosecution Office, Judge Ahmed Al-Qiz, member of the Public Prosecution Office, Judge Yahya Hajira, the defendants’ lawyer, and the appearance of 24 defendants, part of the indictment, containing 128 pages, was read out.
The court also alerted the defendants of their rights, including the appointment of lawyers, and granting those who do not have lawyers the power of attorney to whomever they choose.
The indictment included accusations of fabricating official documents consisting of documents (Fouls – Insights) dating back to 1335 AH, and later dates with the aim of seizing the endowment money in the areas located in Dar Salim and its surroundings in Sanhan District, Sana’a governorate.
They also fabricated buying and selling documents through which they seized shops – and land in Rawda area, and other areas of the endowment money.In addition ,some of them impersonated a legal trustee, as well as the exploitation of some of their judicial, military and civil functions, their social status as “sheikhs” and their work as contractors to reach their desires to obtain material benefit for themselves and others unjustly.
The court decided to complete the reading of the indictment next Saturday session and to instruct the prosecution to properly announce the accused who were released on bail, as well as the accused who were presented as infidels from justice.
