Allegations of National Team’s Violations in UN Group of Experts’ Report Not Based on Facts
Yemen’s National Team held a press conference on Wednesday in the capital, Sana’a, regarding the position of the National Salvation Government on the fourth report of the United Nations Group of Eminent International and Regional Experts on the situation of human rights in Yemen.
“The Expert Group’s allegations of violations committed by the National Side are not based on facts because their sources are from hostile parties, and most of them are false,” the head of the National Team AbduleIlah Hajar stressed.
Hajar explained that the coalition of aggression prevented the Group of Experts from visiting Yemen for three consecutive years to investigate allegations of violations, and the National Team has repeatedly informed the team of experts of these arguments in its correspondence with it during the past four years.
“The Group of Experts tried to show its impartiality with these allegations on the National Side in the hope of renewing its mandate,” the head of the National Team added.
He noted that Saudi Arabia and its mercenaries are preventing the UN Group’s entry into Yemen, as well as preventing communication with it.
