Hodeidah Governor, the Deputy Chief Of Staff , the UNMHA Official Brief on the Damages by the Aggression in Al-Durayhimi , Al_Faqih House

The Governor of Hodeidah Muhammad Ayyash Qahim and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, the head of the national redeployment team, Major General Ali Hammoud Al-Mushki, along with the head of the United Nations Mission to Support  Hodeidah Agreement, General Michael Perry,  briefed today, Saturday, on the extent of the damage and destruction suffered by citizens’ homes in Al-Durayhimi district as a result of the aggression and their mercenaries. During the visit, the Governor of Hodeidah, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, confirmed that the forces of aggression and their mercenaries continued to commit the most heinous crimes against the Yemeni people in general and Hodeidah governorate in particular,amid the silence of the international community and the United Nations.

He stressed that peace is the demand of everyone, and that the local authority in the governorate provides all support to the tasks of the Redeployment Committee in order to achieve a just and honorable peace for the Yemeni cause..He indicated that the Yemeni people will not remain idly by towards the crimes committed against the people, and to respond to these crimes .It is one of the legitimate rights of the Yemeni people.

For his part, Al-Mushki indicated that the extent of the damage caused to the people of Al-Durayhimi district as a result of the targeting of the aggression coalition is very large.He reviewed the daily violations committed by the other side of the Sweden Agreement, which affected neighborhoods and residential areas, pointing out that rebuilding what was destroyed by the aggression in Hodeidah comes in accordance with the obligations of the United Nations.

Al-Mushki called on he head of the United Nations Mission in Support of the Hodeidah Agreement to assume his responsibilities by stopping the continuous violations of the Sweden Agreement by the forces of aggression and lifting the unjust siege imposed on the people.

For his part, a member of the Redeployment Committee, Major General Muhammad al-Qadri, explained that the coalition of aggression and its mercenaries have so far refused redeployment despite the implementation of many commitments and agreements by its committee, the National Team, which has caused a doubling of the human suffering of citizens.

He stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the National Redeployment Team and the UN Mission to support the Sweden Agreement on Hodeidah, which would enhance security and stability in Hodeidah governorate. He called on the UN mission to pressure the other party to implement its obligations in accordance with
the Stockholm Agreement.

An official in the Humanitarian Affairs in Hodeidah, Jaber Al-Razhi, said that the humanitarian situation in the district of Al-Durayhimi and the village of Al-Jah in Al-Faqih House is very bad due to the aggression and siege that the district was subjected to and the displacement of all residents of the city of Al-Durayhimi.
He noted that the Supreme Council provided more than two thousand food baskets and emergency shelter materials to the displaced families affected by the aggression to alleviate their suffering.

In turn, the head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement, General Michael Beary, expressed his regret for the human suffering that the Yemeni people are subjected to as a result of the continuation of the aggression and the failure to reach an agreement on the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement.

He stressed the importance of joint coordination between the United Nations Mission and the National Redeployment Team in Hodeidah. He pointed out that this is the first visit of the UNMIA team to the Al-Durayhimi district, stressing that seven years of aggression, siege and suffering are enough to end the war on Yemen.

They were accompanied during the visit by a member of the National Redeployment Team Committee, Major General P.S.C Mansour Al-Saadi, Major General Ali Saeed Al-Razami, Director of Al-Durayhimi Directorate Muhammad Al-Musai, Director of the Intelligence Directorate in the Fifth Military Region, Brigadier General Riyad Baldhi, and Head of the Joint Operations Room, Brigadier Hussein Al-Dhaif.
