Russian forces shoot down Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter, 10 drones
Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that a MiG-29 fighter, ten Ukrainian drones and two Tochka-U missiles were downed, in addition to destroying 38 military installations, strongholds and ammunition depots.
‘38 Ukrainian military facilities were destroyed with high-precision missiles, including command centers and positions of militants, three depots of missile and artillery weapons in Pervomaiskoe and Ilychivka regions’, Ministry spokesman Maj-Gen. Igor Konashenkov said in a media briefing on Monday.
He added that the air defense systems downed ten Ukrainian drones and two Tochka-U missiles near Pokrovsky in Luhansk, in addition to downing Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter near Slavyansk.
Konashenkov noted that Russian artillery units destroyed Ukrainian ammunition, weapons and military equipment depots, and targeted military gathering centers, as well as they eliminated dozens of militants, adding that an anti-aircraft missile system and a battery of multiple missile launch systems were destroyed in the Arkhangelovka region.
Russian warplanes targeted 27 strongholds for gathering militants and military equipment, in addition to depots of missile weapons, artillery and ammunition near Chevron village in Zaporozhye region, according to the spokesman.
Since the start of the special military operation, 146 fighters, 112 helicopters, 683 drones, 281 anti-aircraft missile systems, and so many of military weapons and vehicles, Konashenkov said.
