Investigation: Oil and gas revenues looted by the aggression in half a year cover Yemeni salaries for a year and a half
An investigation, published by Al-Masirah Arabic channel, revealed that the oil and gas revenues looted by the coalition of aggression and their mercenaries since the beginning of this year can cover the salaries of employees for a year and a half.
The investigation, prepared by Abdul Hamid Al-Gharbani, revealed that the revenues from crude oil production and domestic gas sales looted by the US-Saudi aggression coalition and its mercenaries since the beginning of this year exceed 1.2 trillion riyals, and this amount is able to cover salaries of employees for a year and a half.
The investigation tracked the production rates of crude oil and domestic gas and their revenues during the period from January to the beginning of August 2022. Data showed that the total crude oil shipped amounted to 18,299,400 barrels. Domestic gas production, on the other hand, amounted to 337 thousand metric tons since the beginning of the year.
The television investigation revealed that the looted oil revenues and domestic gas sales during only 4 months of the international truce amounted to 689 billion and 173 million riyals, covering 9 months’ salaries for all state employees in all governorates.
In the investigation, Deputy Oil Minister Yasser Al-Wahidi confirmed that the average total monthly production of crude oil amounted to 2,614,200 barrels per month from January to August during this year, and indicated that the aggression coalition seeks to increase daily production, that is, raise the level of Yemeni oil looting through operating sector 5 «Janat Hunt».
The Deputy Minister of Oil explained that foreign companies are implementing a series of different treatments to raise the rate of production from Yemeni oil fields, with the aim of increasing the looting of oil and its revenues, stressing that these companies violate contracts of partnership agreements with the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and will bear the consequences sooner or later.
For his part, the spokesman for the Yemeni Gas Company, Ali Maasar, revealed to Al-Masirah that the proceeds of domestic gas sales from January to this August amounted to more than 100 billion riyals and were supplied to accounts in banks affiliated with the mercenaries of aggression, including the National Bank of Saudi Arabia and the Central Bank branch in Marib, which is controlled by the mercenaries of aggression.
