The Ministry of Interior unveils the armored vehicle “Bas 2”
The Yemeni Ministry of Interior announced on Friday evening the entry of Bas 2 armored vehicle into service in security missions, revealing its details and its latest technical equipment.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Al-Ajri, said that “Bas 2” armored vehicle was manufactured locally and equipped with the latest technologies and equipment, adding that it “will be a great source of support for the security men, and a deterrent to anyone who seeks to harm the security and stability of this country.”
The interior spokesman pointed out that it comes two years after the launch of work on “Bas 1” armored vehicle, which was announced by the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdul Karim Amir al-Din al-Houthi, in December 2020.
He stressed that the Ministry of Interior is moving forward in development, industrialization and construction until achieving self-sufficiency.
