Inspect on readiness of WFP warehouses in Hodeida
Director of the Supreme Council for (SCMCHA) branch in Hodeida province Jaber al-Razehi and a team from the United Nations Mission in Support of the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) inspected World Food Programme warehouses on 50th Street- al-Hali district in Hodeida city.
The Director of the Council Branch and the United Nations team, together with the Director of the United Nations Security and Safety Office in Hodeidah, briefed on the readiness of warehouses to receive relief materials after their closure for several years, As a result of the mines and explosives left by the aggression on the road and its surrounding areas and the side positions of the locomotives, which are transporting ration materials for residents and displaced persons in the governorate.
Al-Razehi and the Mine Specialist of the Redeployment Commission met with members of Platoon I Clearance of the Executive Mine Action Centre who confirmed the end of the survey work and clearing the road and the surrounding areas of warehouses and parking. Showing that total disinfected areas are remnants of aggression which was 16 thousand square meters.
It is worth mentioning that the programme will soon resume its relief work and continue the flow of humanitarian assistance and ration materials to it after a pause of several years.
