Minister of Agriculture discusses the cooperation with the representative of FAO

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Engineer Abdulmalek Al-Thawr met with representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Dr. Hussein Gadain.

During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation between the Ministry and the Organization to promote the agricultural sector and enhance the food security in the country.

They addressed aspects related to the delay in the implementation of the FAO’s agricultural projects and programmes and the need to expedite the implementation of them.

The meeting stressed the importance of providing the Ministry’s needs to fight the “autumn rallyworm” and providing the General Plant Protection Department with the “GT Mas” for pesticide and residual impact screening in addition to improve the desert locust programme.
