The Washington Post: Saudi Arabia and the UAE hired US generals to run operations against Yemen
An investigation conducted by the American newspaper “Washington Post” revealed that hundreds of American generals and soldiers were hired to work for the countries of aggression. According to the report, they play a direct role in managing operations, with the facilitation of the US government, and in exchange for large amount of money, in violation of laws and regulations in the United States.
The newspaper said: It obtained a number of documents that revealed that many American military personnel, including retired generals who held senior leadership positions, such as “Jim Mattis” Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, obtained jobs with foreign governments, noting that this happened with the facilitation of the US government, and in some cases, without its knowledge.
The newspaper confirmed that US military leaders employed in foreign countries (most notably Saudi Arabia and the UAE) receive large sums of money, which violates laws and regulations in the United States.
The newspaper pointed out that the military jobs assigned to them for the benefit of Saudi Arabia and the UAE under the title of “military advisor” included training, qualification, preparing plans and organizing forces. It stressed that one of the aims of hiring those US personnel is to improve and develop the military operations carried out by Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in Yemen.
The newspaper pointed out that the Defense Secretary in the Trump administration, Jim Mattis, was one of the most prominent US Navy generals who were employed in the UAE under the title of “Military Advisor” since August 2015 (coinciding with the aggression on Yemen) until he assumed the position of Defense Minister in 2017, noting that his mission included “operational, tactical and informational aspects,” as the report revealed described it.
The newspaper added that Mattis returned to work with the UAE after he left the Ministry of Defense in 2019, noting that the details of his work and the money he received are still hidden from the public.
These facts confirm that the US administration of the aggression against Yemen was and still is taking place officially and unofficially in various fields, and that the allegations of the White House about supporting peace and its attempt to present itself as a mediator are nothing but propaganda aimed at covering up shocking facts even for the American interior itself.
