The enemy insists on intransigence by seizing a new “diesel” ship
The US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition reiterated its insistence on upholding the criminal blockade imposed on Yemen, and using the human rights of the Yemeni people as a weapon of war and a tool of blackmail. Yesterday, Saturday, the Saudi aggression seized a new oil ship that was heading to Hodeidah. Sana’a, on the other hand, conditions that the port of Hodeidah should be siege-free, in order to proceed on the path of peace.
The official spokesman for the Yemeni Oil Company, Issam Al-Mutawakil, said that the coalition of aggression seized the diesel ship “Soprano Sirene” and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeidah, in the context of tightening the siege measures imposed on the country and doubling the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The coalition of aggression permanently resorts to the detention of fuel ships for long periods; In order to maintain the humanitarian and living crisis that Yemenis suffer from, and use this as a method of pressure on Sana’a.
The detention of ships entails heavy fines, which contribute to the increase in the prices of oil derivatives and burden the citizens.
Al-Mutawakel explained that the ship “Soprano Sirene” had been subjected to a forced inspection in Djibouti, a measure imposed by the coalition of aggression in collusion with the United Nations to delay the arrival of the ships and restrict their movement.
The oil company had earlier revealed correspondence showing the participation of the UN inspection mechanism in the siege process, as it directs the ships to the detention point and asks them to obey the instructions of the Saudi-aggressive coalition.
The detention of ships is one of the main points that obstruct the path of peace, as Sana’a stresses that any renewal of the armistice must include lifting the siege on the port of Hodeidah and Sana’a airport, as well as paying the salaries of employees from oil and gas revenues. Nevertheless, the coalition of aggression and the Americans insist on continuing the siege and plundering national wealth.
The continued detention of fuel ships would lead to the failure of the negotiations to renew the armistice and result in the re-escalation of the matter, which Sana’a confirmed several times that its repercussions would be regional and international.
