Major General Al-Qadri: We’re ready to impose a strategic deterrence equation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab
Sana’a has sent new military messages to the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition of aggression and its sponsors regarding its readiness to fight the battle to defend Yemeni territorial waters and protect international shipping lines.
The Commander of the Coastal Defense Forces, Director of the Naval College, Major General Mohammed Ali Al-Qadri, said in statements published by the 26th of September website of the Ministry of Defense: “Yemen has the full ability to protect international corridors and trade routes in the region,” adding that “The aggression’s resort of to the security of international navigation is an open attempt to control Yemen’s maritime site.”
Major General Al-Qadri stressed that this attempt will not succeed, “because the capabilities of the Yemeni naval forces are growing day after day, and today they possess what qualifies them to have the final say in Yemeni territorial waters,” noting that what was seen during the military parades is part of the rapid development by the military industry, including offensive and defensive capabilities of the Yemeni Navy during the past few years.
Al-Qadri explained that the naval forces were rebuilt from scratch as a result of the systematic targeting by the forces of aggression during eight years, and the construction took place in accordance with the determinants and directions set by the revolutionary and political leadership within a plan to restore the full readiness of the naval forces.
He pointed out that the operations carried out by the Navy and the successes it achieved went on an upward trajectory during the past years.
He stressed that “Yemeni waters are protected by marine,” noting that “control of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait, along with the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, has become among the main motives for aggression against Yemen.”
He made it clear that Sana’a is now aware of the aggression’s ambitions and will not allow it to achieve them.
During the past period, Sana’a sent many warning messages to the coalition of aggression and its sponsors regarding its readiness to fight the battle of imposing sovereignty over Yemeni territorial waters and protecting international shipping lines from violations and domination of enemies.
Major General Al-Qadri stressed that “the development of the capabilities of the Yemeni naval forces has reached the point of possessing an exceptional naval deterrent force that can break the equation of naval supremacy of the countries of aggression.”
He added, “The Yemeni Navy will have a very important role in the future if the enemy thinks of any adventure.”
During the last period, the armed forces revealed missile systems and strategic naval weapons manufactured and developed locally.
The leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and President Mahdi al-Mashat both confirmed that the armed forces has developed new naval weapons that make it possible to target any point in the sea, from any point on Yemeni land.
Major General Al-Qadri stressed that the enemies have a clear idea of the great capabilities that the Yemeni side has reached in the matter of naval power, and the extent of its impact on any military action that America may take, whether through military intervention through a naval landing, or targeting Yemeni ports, or through any attempts to support the Saudi aggression with any upcoming military battle in which the naval force may enter.
“We have enough military force and weapons to impose the equation of deterrence in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab,” Major General Al-Qadri warned.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, had recently confirmed that Sana’a will continuer to impose sovereignty over the country’s territorial waters and protect shipping lanes, and warned that “all options are open in this context.”
