Non-stop Saudi bombardment on civilians near the border

The Saudi enemy army continues its criminal escalation against civilians in bordering areas in the province of Saada. The number of victims, including killed and wounded, is constantly increasing as a result of the non-stop bombardment of those areas, in light of the shameful international silence.

Since the beginning of this month, a source reported the death or injury of about 58 civilians as a result of the Saudi artillery and aerial bombardment (with drones) on several border areas in Saada governorate.

The number of civilians killed as a result of the Saudi bombing since the beginning of the month has reached nearly 12 people. While the number of wounded reached about 46, including a number of African immigrants.

The death toll resulted from the Saudi bombing on the bordering districts of Shada and Monabbeh, during Saturday only, reached six wounded and three killed civilians.

These figures confirm that the border areas of Saada governorate are witnessing a major military escalation, in which at least 3 people are killed or injured on a daily basis. This proves that the Saudi bombing does not stop in those areas.

The situation was not different in relation to the past periods, as dozens of citizens and immigrants have been victims of this brutal bombardment by the Saudi enemy army.

The escalation of the crimes of the Saudi enemy prompted the Ministry of Human Rights in the Government of National Salvation to call for the creation of mobile hospitals in areas close to the border, which suffer from a great shortage of medical capabilities, in exchange for a continuous increase in the number of victims.

International silence:

The Minister of Human Rights, Ali al-Dailami, called on the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to “take action and play its role in documenting the enemy’s crimes at the borders instead of reducing the number of its monitoring staff in the targeted areas.”

In an interview with Al-Masirah Arabic channel, minister al-Dailami said: “We hope to hear the Secretary-General of the United Nations talking about civilian casualties in the bordering areas and to take practical measures to stop the crimes of aggression there.”

Over the past months, the United Nations has maintained a shameful silence regarding the ongoing bloodshed in the areas near the border, within Saada governorate. This is not surprising for Yemenis, for the UN has been colluding with the coalition of aggression in all its brutal crimes committed against the Yemeni people.

This silence reaffirms the absence of a real change in the negative UN position towards the Yemeni file, despite all the statements that speak of support for peace efforts.

Attempts to forcibly displace the population:

On the Saudi escalation near the border, the Minister of Human Rights in the Government of National Salvation believes that the Saudi enemy is seeking, through the intensive bombing in these areas, to carry out a process of “forced displacement of the population”, to create a new military front, and enhance its protection along the border.

Observers believe that this criminal goal is linked to aggressive requirements that media reports reported. The Saudi regime tried to impose them during the last consultations in return for agreeing to deal with the humanitarian file. Among those conditions is “establishing a buffer zone at the border as a security guarantee.”

However, Sanaa had indicated the rejection of these conditions, and confirmed through the words of a member of the national delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, that the only guarantee for the security and stability of the countries of aggression is to stop the aggression, siege, and occupation, noting that they are the aggressors.

The Minister of Human Rights in the Salvation Government indicated that the efforts of the Saudi enemy to implement the plan of “forced displacement” of the population would fail.

Consequences of escalation:

The continuous escalation of the Saudi enemy against the border areas confirms that Sanaa is exercising maximum tolerance, for the success of the Omani mediation efforts aimed at addressing the humanitarian file and paving the way for peace. Nevertheless, the crimes committed against the residents of those areas represent a clear violation of the current “de-escalation” situation.

In addition, the enemy’s efforts to change the map of around the border by forcibly displacing the population represent a clear aggressive insistence on continuing to violate Yemeni sovereignty, which constitutes a major obstacle to any peace efforts.

However, according to the assurances of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the state of de-escalation, with its restraint, will not continue indefinitely. This means that the criminal Saudi escalation (with its aggressive goals) may backfire on the Kingdom in the event that the efforts for a solution reach a dead end, and Riyadh insists on continuing its attacks and adhering to its aggressive plans.
