Fisheries Ministry condemns attacks on fishermen on Arabian Sea coasts, Gulf of Aden
The Ministry of Fisheries in Sanaa condemned the aggressive campaign launched by the Saudi-led coalition forces against fishermen and the dredging of fish wealth using internationally prohibited tools on the coasts of the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The ministry called, in a statement issued today, on the free people of the southern provinces to stand together to expel “the occupation forces” and protect the territorial waters from interference and attacks that harm fishing and fishermen.
It also called on the United Nations and the international community to intervene to stop this aggression against fish wealth and aquatic life, hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable, and compensate the fishermen and the affected families.
The statement stressed that the Yemeni people would not give up their rights and wealth and would defend them despite the continued aggression and siege.
