Israel ‘Must Be Wiped off’ The Face of West Asia: Hezbollah Official
A high-ranking official with the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement says the occupying Israeli regime ‘must be wiped off’ the face of West Asia for security and stability to prevail across the region.
Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said at a Tuesday ceremony in the strategic Beqaa Valley of eastern Lebanon that the Zionist entity poses the greatest threat to the entire world, humankind, and generations to come.
“The Israeli entity must be wiped off the region completely,” he said.
Sheikh Qassem pointed out that Hezbollah has well managed to change equations in the region.
Hezbollah is a source of pride for the Lebanese nation, and functions as a role model for freedom-loving people, he added.
Earlier this month, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel that in case of a new war with Lebanon, the regime will be sent back to the Stone Age.
He made the remarks while delivering a televised speech on the 17th anniversary of Israel’s defeat in the 33-day war against Lebanon in 2006.
The Hezbollah leader was referring to the Israeli minister of military affairs’ recent remarks that the regime’s forces would send Lebanon back to the Stone Age in a new war.
“The main point is what Lebanon and the resistance [axis] can do [in case of such a war]. The enemy’s leaders and commanders are well aware of this, but they only pursue media maneuvers, which are of no value to us. We tell the enemy’s commanders that if you enter a new war with Lebanon, you will go back to the Stone Age as well,” Nasrallah said.
Nasrallah noted that 17 years after the war with Lebanon “Israelis have not been able to rebuild the damaged image of their military.”
“The Israeli military is currently at its worst compared to the past … [and this is why] the [Israeli] enemy has moved from an offensive to a defensive position,” the Hezbollah leader said.
Nasrallah added that the resistance axis is currently having the upper hand in all areas, while Israel is hiding behind walls.
