Human Rights Ministry Condemns Suspension of Flights Through Sana’a Airport
The Ministry of Human Rights has strongly denounced the suspension of Yemeni Airlines flights from Sana’a International Airport to Jordan by the US-Saudi aggression, alongside the Saudi regime’s ongoing transgressions against residents in border regions.
In a statement, the ministry expressed disappointment, stating, “At a time when Yemenis were hopeful that the siege on Sana’a Airport would be fully lifted, the US-Saudi aggression suspended Yemenia Airlines flights to Jordan, which is the sole destination.”
The statement elaborated on the escalating daily bombings and targeting carried out by the Saudi regime against border district residents, characterizing it as a fresh violation and an extension of the long list of crimes and infringements committed by the US-Saudi aggression against the rights of the Yemeni people.
The ministry emphasized that Sana’a International Airport serves as the primary lifeline and gateway for Yemen. The continued suspension of flights to and from the airport will adversely impact thousands of patients and exacerbate the shortage of essential medicines and medical supplies.
The Ministry of Human Rights holds the international community fully accountable for all violations and crimes perpetrated by the US-Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.
The Yemenia airline company has suspended flights to and from Sana’a International Airport due to pressure from US-Saudi aggression, which is seen as an attempt to disrupt the ongoing Omani-mediated peace process.
Reuters has reported that Yemenia Airways will cease its flights between Sana’a and Jordan, beginning on October 1st.
