The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza,Mr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, announced this evening, Wednesday, that a 15-year-old child had died in Al-Shifa Medical Complex as a result of malnutrition and dehydration.
Al-Qudra also announced in a brief statement, the death of an elderly man (72 years old) in Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza as a result of malnutrition and dehydration.
He explained that the death toll from malnutrition and dehydration rose to 20 martyrs in the Gaza Strip.
The announced death toll from malnutrition and dehydration reflects only what reaches hospitals, and we believe that dozens die silently as a result of starvation without ever reaching hospitals.
Earlier, Al-Qudra announced the death of a 15-year-old girl at Al-Shifa Medical Complex as a result of malnutrition and dehydration.
He warned that the famine in northern Gaza had reached lethal levels, especially for children, pregnant women, and the chronically ill.
Al-Qudra said: The famine is deepening and will claim thousands of citizens if the aggression is not stopped and humanitarian and medical aid is not immediately entered, pointing out that the Israeli enemy is deliberately committing horrific and successive massacres against thousands of hungry stomachs in northern Gaza.
He called on the international community to use all pressure tools to ensure an immediate cessation of Israeli aggression.
He also called on the United Nations to take urgent measures to prevent the humanitarian and health catastrophe, especially in northern Gaza.
