Yemeni Armed Forces Operations: Rising Capabilities Narrow Enemy’s Options

Yemen’s military operations continue unabated in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the Indian Ocean. The primary objective of these operations is to prevent Israeli ships from passing through the maritime route to reach the ports of occupied Palestine. This is a strategic move by Yemen to support the oppressed and besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and to exert pressure on the Zionist and American entities to halt their aggression and siege on the Gaza Strip.

These Yemeni military operations, which are supportive and significantly impactful on the enemy entity and on the American and British forces, are narrowing the options for the Zionist enemy and its patrons. On the other hand, they are ongoing and on an escalating trajectory as long as the aggression and siege continue on the Palestinian people in Gaza. Their cessation is contingent on the cessation of aggression and the lifting of the siege, as declared and confirmed by the leader, Sayyid Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in more than one speech on more than one occasion.

Yemen’s military operations have taken the world by surprise, capturing the attention of both allies and adversaries. These operations, particularly those in the Red Sea, have sparked significant confrontations, catapulting them into a global spotlight. They’ve become a subject of widespread interest, study, and research, involving international intelligence agencies, predominantly from the West. These agencies are scrambling to gather critical information to support the aggressive strikes by America and Britain on Yemeni military sites. However, these attempts have so far been unsuccessful, met with retaliatory missile and drone attacks from Yemen. This has served to dampen the overconfidence of American, British, and other Western powers.

Many in America, Britain, Israel, and the world are wondering about the reasons for the military failure of America and Britain, as two world powers, in this confrontation against the Yemeni armed forces, and about the feasibility of the aggression on Yemen and the purpose of militarizing the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.

Yemen’s Military Operations: A Strategic Shift in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea

In the face of US and UK aggression on Yemen, unexpected Yemeni countermeasures have shifted the battle’s course. The Yemeni armed forces’ superiority is now evident. Their escalating, precise strikes signal more significant threats to enemy warships and regional presence. These operations, reaching as far as the Indian Ocean, have taken the world by surprise.

The Americans and the British are engaged in a battle against Yemen. The goal of this battle is unclear and considered illegitimate. They admit they lack a comprehensive database about Yemeni military capabilities. Despite this, they continue to face strong retaliation from Yemeni missiles and drones.

Their intelligence devices and techniques have not been successful in gathering military information about the Yemeni armed forces. This challenge from Yemen has put the Americans, Israelis, and British – the so-called ‘trio of evil’ – in an embarrassing situation that is hard to deny.

Their officials, including Former Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller, have repeatedly admitted this. In an interview with Fox Network, Miller described the American and British strikes on Yemen as ineffective. He likened the fight with the Ansar Allah (Houthis) to fighting in the fog. The drones have caused significant damage to their ships, warships, and commercial vessels heading to Israel.

This challenge led the Pentagon to admit the failure of the airstrikes on Yemen. Its spokesman, Pat Ryder, stated that the “Houthis”, Ansar Allah,  have infinite capabilities and unlimited forces. He suggested that their operations might continue despite the American and British strikes. A strategic American military official was quoted by Reuters as saying that the Houthis now possess a large military arsenal, including three of the world’s strongest anti-ship ballistic missiles.

These statements from the Americans seem to justify their failures in their aggression on Yemen. They have failed to protect Israeli ships and their own ships and warships from Yemeni strikes. This has forced them to shift from underestimating Yemen to acknowledging its military capabilities and escalating operations.

The leader, Sayyid Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, had previously indicated in a speech that the future holds greater developments. He pointed out that there were positive signs in the ongoing battle. This was later proven true when the Yemeni armed forces expanded their operations beyond the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea to the Indian Ocean.

Observers have noted this expansion as a significant development. It shows that Yemen possesses unprecedented military capabilities in the region. This has disrupted the global balances that have controlled West Asia and North Africa since World War II. Yemen has not only imposed a siege on Israel in the Red Sea but has also chosen to deepen the American and British impasse. This poses a strategic challenge to American dominance over the seas and oceans.

Yemen’s decisions and actions in this battle show its determination to continue military operations, regardless of the challenges. The Yemenis will not remain silent about the siege and starvation of the Palestinian people. These developments could increase pressure on Israel and lead to further escalation in the region. The scope of the war could expand if the aggression and siege on Gaza continue.

Yemen has repeatedly stated that its front is linked to the escalation in the Gaza Strip. Any Israeli escalation will be met with a corresponding escalation from Yemen and an expansion of its military operations.

Escalation of Operations and Crumbling of the Fragile Alliance:

Yemen, through its support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, has put the American administration in a difficult position. The complexities of the situation and the high accuracy of Yemeni weapons have challenged America’s dominance. This has forced America to make tough choices between engaging in a major war or enduring a long war of attrition.

Yemen’s actions have also led to a decline in America’s prestige. The country is now faced with the option of accelerating steps to end the aggression and siege on Gaza. This is because Yemen’s escalation will not stop as long as the Israeli-American aggression and siege on Gaza continue.

The goals and effects of this escalation are clear. It aims to isolate Israel from the east of the world map and increase international pressure on Israel. This is due to the deteriorating conditions, for the Zionists, in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean. The expansion of Yemeni armed forces operations also poses a threat to the enemy’s economy.

In the coming days, it is possible that Yemen will impose new equations. The Americans, Israelis, and British understand that the threats from Yemen are serious and not just political rhetoric. The past months of confrontation have proven this reality, and it is expected that what is to come will be even greater.
