Thousands mourn the Iranian president and his companions in the city of Tabriz

With a solemn scene attended by thousands of Iranians, the funeral ceremony for the body of the martyred Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his companions began in the city of Tabriz in East Azerbaijan Province, northeastern Iran, where these ceremonies will continue for days and the bodies of the martyrs will then be transferred to Qom Province.

The streets of the city of Tabriz, in northwestern Iran, were filled with tens of thousands of mourners as they bid farewell to the President of the Republic, Sayyed. Ibrahim Raisi, and his fellow martyrs.

The city’s Martyrs’ Square witnessed the funeral ceremony for the bodies of President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian, and their comrades, in a solemn public and official presence.

The funeral ceremony for the bodies of Sayyed. Raisi and his companions began this morning in the presence of tens of thousands of citizens and the wide participation of civil, military, political and social figures.

The procession will arrive today at night in the Iranian capital, Tehran, where the funeral prayer for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyer. Ali Khamenei, will perform over the pure bodies of the martyrs at the University of Tehran.

Then the procession will head to Azadi (Freedom) Square, west of Tehran, and then head to the southern Khorasan province, then disappear.

The bodies are in the shrine of Imam Reza in the city of Mashhad. this; Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and all the passengers of the helicopter they were carrying were martyred in East Azerbaijan Province, northwest of the country.

 

More than 12 hours after the Iranian officials’ helicopter fell in a rugged area near the border with the Republic of Azerbaijan, foot rescue teams found the wreckage of the helicopter under very difficult weather conditions and heavy fog that hindered rescue operations.

The helicopter that fell was one of three helicopters returning from the inauguration ceremony of a joint dam between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was held under the patronage of the Iranian President and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
