More than 30 Palestinians were martyred and about 100 others were wounded, including serious cases, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, as a result of a new massacre committed by the Zionist enemy’s aircraft, which targeted two schools housing displaced persons west of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that “more than 36 people, including children and women, were martyred and a hundred others were wounded, including serious cases, in targeting Sayyida Khadija and Ahmed al-Kurd schools, which house displaced persons, in addition to a field hospital west of Deir al-Balah.”

It is worth noting that the death toll from the massacre is likely to rise due to the severity of the injuries, as most of the wounded who were injured in al-Qashf are in critical condition.

Medical sources indicated that ambulance and civil defense crews continue to retrieve citizens, and the number of martyrs is likely to rise at any time.

The injured were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which has become crowded with wounded.

The spokesman for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that more than 30 martyrs were killed as a result of the “Israeli” raid on Sayyida Khadija School, stressing that more than 60% of the injuries that arrived at the hospital are serious.

He added in press statements commenting on the massacre that “the hospital lacks the necessary medicines to save the lives of those injured in the raid,” saying: “We are in dire need of medicines and medical teams to provide care for the injured.”

In parallel, medical sources said that “46 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of the continued “Israeli” bombing of various areas in the center and south of the Strip since this morning.”

Later, the “Israeli” enemy bombed with two highly explosive missiles, once again, the evacuated Ahmed al-Kurd School, which is located next to  Sayyida Khadija School, where the occupation committed the massacre against the displaced this afternoon.

For its part, Hamas movement condemned the heinous massacre of the Zionist enemy in Deir al-Balah, describing it as “a brutal crime that confirms the separation of this terrorist enemy from all human values.”

Hamas said in a statement that “the terrorist occupation government continues to commit the most horrific massacres against defenseless civilians, in cold blood and without any deterrent and with criminal American cover.”

The movement called on the masses of the Arab and Islamic nation and the free people of the world to rise up and pressure to stop the war of extermination, starvation and ongoing destruction.

For its part, Fatah movement condemned Deir al-Balah massacre, and said that it is “a practical translation of the applause and support of the US Congress for the war criminal Netanyahu.”

It added that “this massacre puts the countries of the world before a decisive test regarding their absolute silence on the crimes of the occupation system.”

In a related context, two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in the Zionist enemy’s bombing of a house in Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Also, an Israeli airstrike targeted Abu Al-Ala family’s house in Armida area east of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip.

In Gaza City, a number of Palestinians were injured as a result of an Israeli targeting of a group of civilians near Kuwait roundabout in Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza.

The Zionist enemy committed a new massacre in Abasan Al-Kabira area in Khan Yunis, while at dawn today, it blew up more residential buildings in Al-Maghraqa in the central region.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 39,258 martyrs and 90,589 injuries since October 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, amid the inability of ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them due to the heavy rubble and continuous shelling.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that it is no longer possible to operate the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, in light of the increase in the squares that the occupation is forcing its residents to evacuate.

It added that the expansion of the displacement areas indicates that the evacuation may extend to the vicinity of Nasser Hospital, which is the only hospital that is still operating, despite the challenges and “Israeli” attacks.

The Ministry of Health also appealed to “all international and UN institutions and concerned parties to intervene quickly and urgently to protect what remains of the health institutions.”
