Al-Qassam Brigades: The Assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran Marks a Pivotal Event Shifting the Battle to New Dimensions
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated that the criminal assassination of Commander Haniyeh in the heart of the Iranian capital represents a significant and dangerous event, shifting the battle to new dimensions and carrying profound implications for the entire region.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Brigades emphasized that the enemy has miscalculated by expanding the scope of its aggression and assassinating resistance leaders in various areas, violating the sovereignty of regional states. The statement further accused the criminal Netanyahu, blinded by delusions of grandeur, of steering the occupation entity towards the abyss and hastening its collapse and disappearance from the land of Palestine once and for all.
The Brigades stressed that it is time for this Zionist arrogance to cease, for this raging enemy to be restrained, and for its destructive hand to be cut off to deter it from its aggression. They stressed that the enemy’s continuous crimes in various areas sound the alarm for all the countries and peoples of the region.
The Brigades called for this to be a motivation for everyone to support and back the resistance in Palestine, as it serves as the advanced defense line for the entire nation. Hence, the enemy strives desperately to break and subjugate it to focus on a larger aggression against the nations and peoples of the region.
In a proud and dignified tone, the Brigades conveyed the martyrdom of the commander and fighter, Ismail Abdel Salam Haniyeh, leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, who was martyred following a cowardly Zionist assassination operation that targeted his residence in the Iranian capital, Tehran. In light of this Nazi crime, the Brigades affirmed the following:
The statement noted that the commander and fighter “Abu al-Abed” rose after a journey filled with giving, jihad, and sacrifices, during which he witnessed various stages of the movement’s development and its jihadist journey. He had clear contributions and imprints at different milestones, offering much to the Palestinian cause throughout his path. He played a crucial role in strengthening the resistance, unifying the efforts of the nation’s people, mobilizing their energies, and directing the compass towards Al-Quds, culminating in his martyrdom in the noblest battles, “The Al-Aqsa Flood Battle,” fought by our people and the free people of our nation in defense of Al-Aqsa and the sanctities.
The Brigades declared that the blood of our commander Ismail Haniyeh, mixed today with the blood of Gaza’s children, women, youth, and elders, alongside the blood of our people and nation’s fighters, confirms that the resistance and its leaders are at the heart of the battle, side by side with their people.
They emphasized that these pure and precious blood will certainly not be wasted, but will serve as a light on the path to liberation. The enemy will pay for its aggression with its blood in Gaza, the West Bank, within its own distorted entity, and wherever the hands of our people’s and nation’s fighters can reach, with In Sha Allah.
