Sayyid Ali Khamenei: Avenging Haniyeh’s Blood is Iran’s Duty as He Was Martyred on Our Soil

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyid Ali Khamenei, expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.

Following the martyrdom of the prominent mujahid leader, Sayyid Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of Hamas, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyid Ali Khamenei, issued a statement extending his condolences to the Islamic nation, the resistance front, and the proud Palestinian people on the martyrdom of this courageous and notable mujahid leader.

His Eminence emphasized that the criminal and terrorist Zionist entity has paved the way for severe punishment with this act, and Iran considers it its duty to avenge his blood since he was martyred on the soil of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated, “The brave and prominent Palestinian mujahid leader, Sayyid Ismail Haniyeh, passed away at dawn last night and grief has enveloped the resistance front. The criminal and terrorist Zionist entity targeted our dear guest in our home, causing us immense grief and resulting in his martyrdom. However, this action has also set the stage for harsh retribution.”

He added, “The martyr Haniyeh carried his precious soul in his hands for many years, moving through the honorable fields of struggle and preparing for martyrdom. He sacrificed his children and family for this path. He did not fear becoming a martyr in the way of Allah and saving His people. However, in this bitter incident, we consider it our duty to avenge his blood since he was martyred on the soil of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

His Eminence extended his condolences to the Islamic nation, the resistance front, and the brave and proud Palestinian people, especially to the family of the martyr Haniyeh and his companion who was martyred with him, asking Allah Almighty to elevate their ranks.
