Jerusalem Post: The Yafa Operation Shocked Israeli Defense
The Zionist newspaper “Jerusalem Post” revealed that the Israeli defense establishment is in a state of shock after a drone attack from Yemen targeted the capital of the entity, Tel Aviv. The newspaper admitted that the Yemeni Armed Forces and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq managed to strike parts of the occupied Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat), including a naval base, using drones.
It acknowledged that Yemen and the Iraqi resistance had carried out strikes on parts of Umm al-Rashrash from late 2023 to mid-2024 without being detected, something the entity had been hiding and completely denying. The newspaper pointed out that the frightening aspect is not that Yemen managed to bomb Tel Aviv but that this incident shocked the defense establishment.
A Zionist official told the newspaper “Calcalist” that the Yemeni operation mixed the cards in a way indicating that “Israel” has entered an era where it is no longer safe and is vulnerable to sudden air attacks that cannot be prevented in advance. Former air defense commander of the enemy army, Zvika Haimovich, stated that preventing “hostile” aircraft from entering the airspace is a fundamental task of the air force. He confirmed that the “enemy army and air force” failed in the case of the drone infiltrating and exploding on a building in Tel Aviv.
Haimovich expressed the terror experienced by the entity after the Yemeni strike, questioning what would have happened if the drone had exploded on a strategic facility or in one of the General Staff or Ministry of War buildings in Tel Aviv.
For the first time since entering the Battle of the Promised Victory and the Holy Jihad in support of Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces declared on Friday that the occupied Yafa (Tel Aviv) area is unsafe and will be a primary target for their weapons, emphasizing their focus on targeting the internal front of the Zionist enemy and reaching deep inside. The Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed they have a bank of targets in occupied Palestine, including sensitive military and security targets, and will continue striking these targets in response to the enemy’s massacres and daily crimes against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.
The Yemeni announcement came in the context of announcing the execution of a significant military operation by the Yemeni Armed Forces’ air force, which involved bombing one of the important targets in the occupied Yafa area, known to Israelis as Tel Aviv, in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their fighters, and in response to the Israeli aggression’s massacres against our brothers in Gaza.
The Armed Forces clarified in a televised statement on Friday morning that the operation was carried out with a new drone named “Yafa,” capable of bypassing the enemy’s interception systems and undetectable by radars, achieving its goals successfully. They reiterated that their operations will continue to support the heroic fighters in Gaza who defend our Arab and Islamic nations with all their peoples and countries, and that their operations will not cease until the aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.
A state of confusion prevailed among the Zionist circles following the operation, with enemy authorities initially denying the strike before Sana’a announced the operation, revealing that the entity only learned of the strike through phone calls from Zionist settlers in Eilat who saw and heard the explosion.
At that time, the entity tried to justify the success of the Yemeni “Yafa” drone in striking the heart of the entity and bypassing the American and Arab missile systems that protect the enemy, as well as the Iron Dome and David’s Sling it had boasted about for years, attributing the failure to “human error,” a justification that observers found laughable.
