The Israeli newspaper Haaretz published an article which includes an interview with the former ombudsman of the Israeli occupation army, reserve General Yitzhak Brik, who said that the Zionist entity would “face collapse in less than a year” if the war against the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the Lebanese resistance in the north continued at its current pace.

“Indeed, the country is galloping to depreciation. If the war of attrition against Hamas and Hezbollah continues, Israel will collapse in no more than a year,” the former army commander highlighted.

Brik went on to list the many threats facing Israel 10 months into its campaign of genocide in Gaza, including intensifying attacks inside its territory, a manpower crisis in the army due to heavy losses, a crumbling economy made worse by global calls to boycott the country, possible embargoes on arms shipments, and the “loss of social resilience and hatred between the parts of the population, which can ignite and cause it to crash from within.”

Mohammad Salami, a senior news editor at Al-Manar English Website, elaborated on the issued in an interview with Al-Manar TV.

The Israeli occupation army has been committing massacres against the civilians in Gaza since October 7, 2023. The Palestinian resistance groups have been confronting the aggression with a great steadfastness and bravery.

In support of Gaza, Hezbollah has been battling the Zionist occupation forces near Lebanon border since the beginning of the Israeli war on the Strip, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy troops.
