Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Mr. Munir al-Barash, confirmed today, Tuesday, that there are many wounded who were martyred in front of the eyes of the medical staff, and they were unable to provide assistance to them due to the scarcity of medicines, cadres and health services.
Mr. al-Barash stated in a press statement that they had completely run out of shrouds due to the horrific number of martyrs, saying: “We do not have shrouds for the martyrs and we appealed to the families to donate ordinary fabrics.”
He stressed that the Zionist enemy is committing a major crime in front of the world and people are dying a slow death in horrifying scenes, adding: “We live in a maze of death and there is no safe place in the northern Gaza Strip.”
He continued: “We provide only the minimum health services and we lack doctors in more than one specialty, noting that those injured in the head are martyred in front of us without providing the service due to the lack of medicine and medical staff.
He also stressed the lack of intensive care rooms inside the hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli enemy army continues to besiege Jabalia and northern Gaza for the 18th consecutive day, with continuous artillery shelling, and hundreds of appeals from families besieged in Jabalia camp and Beit Lahia project to rescue them and get them out of their homes.
The enemy is destroying a number of citizens’ homes in Beit Lahia project area in the northern Gaza Strip, which has led to the deaths of hundreds of martyrs and the injury of thousands.
