The Spanish Ministry of Interior said that it had canceled a contract to purchase ammunition from a Zionist company, expanding Spain’s pledge not to sell weapons to the Zionist enemy entity to include purchases as well.

According to Reuters news, a Spanish police force had agreed to purchase more than 15 million 9mm bullets for six million euros ($6.48 million) from the “Israeli” company Guardian LTD Israel.

Spain added that it would stop arms sales to “Israel” in October 2023 when the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip began and continues to this day, causing the martyrdom and injury of tens of thousands of the Palestinian people.

“The Spanish government maintains its commitment not to sell weapons to the Israeli state since the outbreak of the armed conflict in the Gaza Strip, and although in this case it concerns the purchase of ammunition, the Ministry of the Interior has initiated the administrative procedure to cancel the purchase,” the statement from the Spanish Ministry of the Interior said.

The Ministry of the Interior also indicated that the Spanish ministry would exclude Israeli companies from any pending tenders.
