Ansarullah Condemns Zionist Aggression on Damascus and Mourns Martyrs of Islamic Jihad

The Political Bureau of Ansarullah has strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, which targeted civilian facilities and residential areas associated with the Islamic Jihad Movement. The attacks have drawn widespread outrage for their impact on civilians and the loss of prominent figures in the resistance.  

In a statement released Friday, Ansarullah denounced the Zionist aggression as a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and an extension of the”genocidal crimes” against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.  

“We extend our condolences and congratulations to the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine on the martyrdom of a group of its leaders during this heinous attack,” the statement read, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the movement’s members in the struggle against Israeli occupation.  

Ansarullah further criticized the escalation of violence, calling it a reflection of the “bankruptcy and failure” of the Israeli regime in its field confrontations. The statement pointed to the growing effectiveness of resistance operations in Gaza and Lebanon as evidence of Israel’s struggles on multiple fronts.  

“The Zionist enemy’s resort to assassinating civilian leaders demonstrates its military and political impotence in the face of the significant role played by the Islamic Jihad Movement,” the group declared.  

The statement concluded with a call to action, emphasizing that “the Zionist enemy, which continues to violate Syria’s sovereignty and commit atrocities against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, can only be deterred through jihad.”
