Trump Initiates “Greater Israel” Project Through Displacement and Reconstruction

The final phase of negotiations between the Palestinian people, represented by the resistance factions, and the occupying entity is now approaching. This phase focuses on the reconstruction of Gaza, a region left in ruins by relentless Zionist aggression. As events unfold, it appears that tensions will escalate, particularly as U.S. President Trump begins implementing his vision of the so-called “Greater Israel.”

The scale of destruction is staggering. Reports indicate that rebuilding Gaza will take decades. More than 50 million tons of rubble must be cleared—a process estimated to take 21 years—while reconstruction costs are expected to reach $40 billion, according to the United Nations. A UN report published last year stated that rebuilding Gaza’s destroyed homes could continue until at least 2040, if not longer. Even then, this timeline only accounts for two-thirds of the affected buildings—over 170,000 structures that have been demolished or leveled to the ground, amounting to approximately 69% of all buildings in the Strip. Additionally, more than 200 government facilities, 136 schools and universities, 823 mosques, and 60% of the road network have been obliterated.

Trump’s Deceptive Proposal

Despite widespread acknowledgment and expert reports detailing the catastrophic impact of the Zionist entity’s aggression on Gaza, Trump is presenting a so-called humanitarian initiative. He has called on Egypt and Jordan to host displaced Palestinians temporarily, claiming that reconstruction cannot take place while they remain in Gaza. According to Trump, they must leave for Egypt and Jordan until the rebuilding process is complete.

This proposal is nothing more than a calculated deception, seeking to disguise an aggressive agenda as a humanitarian necessity. In reality, it is a deliberate attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians under the pretense of reconstruction. This enforced migration would serve the occupying entity’s long-term goals of territorial expansion. Egypt, Jordan, and the rest of the world recognize that such a displacement could become permanent, given the indefinite timeline for reconstruction.

Both Egypt and Jordan have firmly rejected Trump’s request, fully aware of its dangerous implications. However, Trump has responded with outright disregard, pressuring both nations to offer alternative solutions. Simultaneously, Zionist media outlets have intensified their efforts to portray reconstruction as an urgent need—not for Gaza but for the occupying entity itself. Reports have been republished and updated to serve this narrative, urging action—even by force—to secure Zionist interests.

The hebrew newspaper “Times of Israel” reported that “even if mass starvation is not an immediate threat to Gaza’s population, the lack of clean water, electricity, and sanitation will turn the Strip into a breeding ground for uncontrollable diseases.” Similarly, the Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policy warned that disease outbreaks in Gaza could spill over into “Israel”. Their report stated that long-term pollution from neglected infrastructure could damage the occupied land’s natural water sources, desalination plants, and pumping stations. Such arguments conveniently align with Trump’s insistence on his so-called reconstruction plan, which ultimately hinges on displacing Palestinians.

A Critical Test for Egypt and Jordan

Trump is backing Egypt and Jordan into a corner, disregarding the severe consequences his plan could have on their national security. The idea of transferring Gaza’s population to neighboring countries echoes the long-standing agenda of extremist Zionist figures like Bezalel Smotrich, who has openly called for the expulsion of Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan. Now, Trump is implementing this strategy practically, forcing both nations to choose between compliance or facing his wrath.

The late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak once warned, “Those who rely on America will find themselves exposed.” This reality remains evident today—America prioritizes the interests of the Zionist entity above all else, even at the expense of its allies. As Trump’s view, since the U.S. provides substantial aid to Egypt and Jordan, they are obligated to comply with his demands and host displaced Palestinians.

However, Trump’s proposal has been met with outright rejection from both nations. Cairo has stated unequivocally that it rejects any forced displacement of Palestinians, whether temporary or permanent. Similarly, Amman has reaffirmed its unwavering opposition to any relocation of Gaza’s population. Yet, these firm stances have frustrated Trump, who has insisted that “they will comply.”

Arib al-Rantawi, Director of al-Quds Center for Political Studies, warns that if this project is implemented for any reason, it will serve as a precursor to a much larger and more dangerous forced displacement—one that could target the population of the West Bank. He emphasizes that Jordan would be the primary target, as it remains the only viable extension of the West Bank.

Jordanian lawmaker Saleh al-Armouti, a member of the opposition Islamic Action Front, has called on his government to take decisive political action, expose Trump’s statements, and reject them outright. He urged Amman to demand an emergency meeting of the Arab League to address this threat and to file a formal complaint with the UN Security Council, considering Trump’s proposal an attack on Jordanian sovereignty.

Conversely, Egypt has reaffirmed its commitment to a two-state solution, insisting on adherence to UN resolutions that affirm the Palestinian right to establish a state based on the 1967 borders.

The Palestinian People Hold the Key

Amid this intense debate, the people of Gaza—who have suffered immense betrayal from Arab and Islamic nations—are the ones who truly hold the solution. Their determination to remain on their land is the ultimate barrier against Trump’s plan and the Zionist entity’s ambitions. The Palestinian people have demonstrated extraordinary resilience, returning to their devastated homeland despite the destruction and lack of basic necessities.

History has shown that Palestinians alone understand the cost of their sacrifices and the deceptive tactics of the occupying entity, even when disguised in American rhetoric. They recognize that voluntary departure equates to self-imposed displacement—an act that would fulfill a key component of Trump’s “Deal of the Century.” The U.S. president has made no secret of the fact that this displacement could be “long-term.”

America Faces Two Choices

The United Nations reports that nearly two million Gazans are without shelter. Yet, the Palestinian people insist on staying amid the ruins of their homes, refusing to leave. The situation demands pressure on the U.S. administration to address this crisis rationally rather than attempting to impose a reckless vision disguised as humanitarian concern.

Ultimately, Trump faces two paths: the path of reason or  disaster. The path of reason requires accepting the reality on the ground, without resorting to reckless maneuvers designed to achieve expansionist goals under the guise of reconstruction. However, the path of disaster entails forcibly imposing his plan, leading to further unrest and potential conflict. Such an outcome would be catastrophic for the U.S., painting it as a deliberate instigator of wars for the sake of the Zionist occupation. Furthermore, this approach contradicts Trump’s own promises to prioritize economic prosperity for the American people, a pledge he emphasized during his inaugural speech on January 20th.
