The Zionist enemy displaces 90% of Tulkarm residents

The Zionist enemy army continues its aggression on Tulkarm city and its camp for the 24th consecutive day, and on Nour Shams camp for the 11th day, amid burning homes and widespread destruction of infrastructure.

According to local sources, the enemy forces sent more military reinforcements to Tulkarm city and Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, and stormed the suburbs of Dhnaba east of the city and Artah south and raided several homes and residential buildings, and arrested a number of citizens, including displaced persons from Nour Shams camp.

The detainees were identified as: Ali Abu Zahra, Ayman Turabi, Nael al-Banna and his son Youssef, and Abdul Rahman Hani Muhammad Abdullah.

The enemy forces stopped the vehicles, searched them, checked the identities of their passengers, and prevented them from passing, while detaining young men and interrogating them in the field, without any arrests being reported.

In the same context, Tulkarm camp witnessed a large-scale demolition of citizens’ homes after the enemy forces notified the demolition of 14 homes inside the camp, under the pretext of paving a street in the middle of the camp extending from the agency area to the Balawneh neighborhood.

The head of the Popular Committee for Tulkarm Camp Services, Faisal Salama, explained that 50 homes were destroyed and burned during this ongoing aggression, and 300 shops were completely destroyed, in addition to the destruction and sabotage of a large number of vehicles, stressing that the camp has become lifeless, as water, electricity and communications have been cut off after the infrastructure was bulldozed, in addition to the displacement of 11,000 citizens out of 15,000 who lived in it.

The enemy forces continue to close the gate of Jabara checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm for the 12th consecutive day, isolating the city from the villages and towns of Al-Kafriyat and the rest of the West Bank governorates.
