Amnesty International announced today, Thursday, that the Palestinian Al-Butum people’s gathering in Masafer Yatta is facing the risk of imminent forced displacement, as a result of the increase in settler attacks supported by the Israeli entity, in addition to home demolitions, harassment and restrictions imposed on access to land, and illegal settlement expansion carried out by the Israeli authorities.
The organization said that “Israel” must immediately stop its policies of repression in the occupied West Bank, “and cancel any plans that may amount to collective punishment.”
It also indicated that “Israel’s” operation in the West Bank caused the displacement of about 40 thousand Palestinians from the camps of Jenin, Tulkarm and Nour Shams.
Amnesty International also considered that instead of continuing to support “Israel” in its illegal seizure of land, which leads to disastrous consequences for the Palestinians, world leaders must “pressure Israel to end its illegal occupation” and “dismantle the apartheid system it imposes on the Palestinians.”
“Amnesty International” was the first international organization to accuse “Israel” of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli enemy forces continue their systematic attacks on the camps in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli “Supreme Planning Council” is preparing to approve a plan to build 1,170 settlement units in the West Bank, according to what was revealed by an Israeli non-governmental organization.
A previous analysis conducted by the British Broadcasting Corporation “BBC” showed that the number of settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank has increased rapidly in recent years.
The head of the Popular Committee for Services in Tulkarm Camp, Faisal Salama, confirmed a few days ago that the Israeli enemy forces are still occupying the camp and imposing a stifling siege on it for the thirtieth consecutive day, which is leading to the displacement of the camp’s residents under the threat of weapons.
