Five people were killed Tuesday in Israeli shelling of a group of residents in central Gaza City.

A girl was killed by Israeli army fire east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, and a woman was killed by drone fire in the town of al-Shawka, east of Rafah.

This brings the number of martyrs as a result of Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip in 24 hours to more than 10.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli drones targeted residents near Netzarim checkpoint in central Gaza.

Israeli forces also fired at homes east of the town of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

A shell was fired from an Israeli tank at the eastern area of the town of Abasan al-Jadida, east of Khan Yunis.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 48,503 since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, and the number of wounded has reached 111,927.

The Zionist enemy continues to prevent the entry of aid into the ravaged Gaza Strip, exacerbating the humanitarian suffering of more than two million displaced Palestinians there.

It also continues to delay the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement and escalate its violations, on the 52nd day of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
