The occupying Zionist entity’s authorities deported two British MPs after detaining them for hours and interrogating them at Ben Gurion Airport.
The Zionist enemy prevented the two British Labour MPs, Ibtisam Mohammed and Yuan Yang, from entering occupied Palestine, claiming that they support anti-Israel policies.
British Foreign Secretary
For his part, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy condemned the Israeli behavior toward the two MPs, calling it “unacceptable.”
Lammy wrote on his X account: “It is unacceptable, unproductive, and deeply disturbing that two British MPs, part of a parliamentary delegation to Israel, are being detained and denied entry.”
Lammy explained that he informed Israeli officials that this behavior was inappropriate for British parliamentarians, noting that the British government was focusing on its efforts to end the conflict in Gaza, resume negotiations, and ensure the return of a ceasefire.
Statement by Yuan Yang and Ibtisam Mohammed
British MPs Yuan Yang and Ibtisam Mohammed issued a statement saying, “We planned humanitarian visits to the West Bank and were surprised by Israel’s denial of our entry.” They added, “Parliamentarians must be allowed to see the situation of the West Bank residents.”
They continued, “MPs must speak in the House of Commons without fear of being targeted.”
In response, the Israeli embassy in London claimed that the reason for denying the two MPs entry was their making false accusations against Israel and participating in activities against it.
