The criminal Galant exposes the “Philadelphi Tunnel” lie: to justify control of the axis and delay the prisoner swap deal

The criminal former Zionist Defense Minister Yoav Galant revealed today, Tuesday, that the trench found by the “Israeli army” in the “Philadelphi” axis in the southern Gaza Strip, which was marketed as a “deep tunnel,” lies only one meter underground. Galant asserted that “what was published at the time was a lie.”

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 11, Galant admitted that “the tunnel was for transporting water and was covered, like the ones you sometimes pass while driving under a highway,” adding, “The tunnel is not 20 or 30 meters underground.”

He commented on the false narrative fabricated by the Hebrew media, saying, “They covered it with dirt, someone took a picture of it, and they created a huge uproar and a lot of headlines. Ultimately, no weapons passed through the Philadelphi Corridor.”

Galant, who was then Minister of Defense, confirmed that the purpose of this fabricated narrative was to “exaggerate the importance of the Philadelphi Corridor, control it, and delay the prisoner exchange deal.”

On August 4, 2025, enemy media claimed to have found “a huge tunnel near the Philadelphi Corridor that allows vehicles to pass.”

It’s worth noting that Salah al-Din Corridor, or Philadelphi Corridor, is a strip hundreds of meters wide and 14 kilometers long, located along the Gaza-Egypt border.

It is considered part of a buffer zone under the Camp David Accords signed between Egypt and the occupying entity in 1979.
