Nasser Medical Complex: Gaza’s Children endure most severe Malnutrition stage

Dr. Ahmed Al-Farra, director of Al-Tahrir Hospital at Nasser Medical Complex, revealed on Wednesday that children in Gaza Strip are experiencing the most severe stages of malnutrition, with medical follow-up becoming increasingly difficult due to the lack of therapeutic medicines and infant formula.

According to the Palestine Today Agency, Dr. Al-Farra explained that the case of “child Osama Al-Raqab” summarizes the suffering of Gaza’s children due to the absence of proper nutrition sources and clean drinking water.

He emphasized that Gaza Strip is now in the fifth and most severe stage of malnutrition, as classified by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Al-Farra pointed out that the lack of adequate nutrition and medicines for pregnant women is having a dangerous impact on newborns, particularly premature infants.

He warned that the continued blockade of food and medical supplies indicates that Gaza’s children are facing a dire and catastrophic situation.
