The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Friday that nearly half a million people were displaced in Gaza last month due to the resumption of the war on the Strip.
UNRWA said in a press release that repeated forced displacement orders leave Palestinians with less than a third of Gaza’s living space, a fragmented and unsafe area.
It noted that overcrowded shelters in Gaza are in dire condition, service providers are struggling to function, and remaining resources are depleting.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 168,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
